New Update: ID Released For Suspect Nabbed After Easter Shooting At Home In Hudson Valley

A Hudson Valley man was charged after allegedly shooting his stepfather on Easter Sunday.

The incident took place in Putnam County on Sunday, April 9 in the town of Southeast on Ridgebury Road.

According to Trooper Steven Nevel, state police responded to the home after receiving a report of a dispute between a stepfather and stepson.

Responding units located the victim, a 55-year-old man, suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower leg. He was transported to Danbury Hospital in stable condition, Nevel said.

The suspect, Harrison M. Salisbury, age 21, of Southeast, was arrested for assault and menacing and remanded to the Putnam County Jail.

The State Police were assisted by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
